About Us
Headquartered in Rocky Mount, N.C., Boddie-Noell Enterprises is a successful third-generation, family-owned business. Today we own and operate some 335 Hardee’s restaurants across four states (North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina and Kentucky), making us the largest Hardee’s franchise operator in the United States. Boddie-Noell also operates Rose Hill, a beautifully restored historic special-events facility near Nashville, NC, and BNE Land and Development Co.
Our History
Boddie-Noell’s humble beginnings go back 60 years to 1962 when the late brothers Mayo and Nick Boddie (pictured at right) and their uncle Carleton Noell opened their first Hardee’s restaurant in Fayetteville, N.C. Over the next several decades – through hard work and focus – the Boddies continued to open Hardee’s locations throughout North Carolina, Virginia and beyond. Hardee’s remains our foundation and our flagship. We have always provided growth opportunities for our people. We’re committed to providing great customer service, product quality and creative innovation — we created the famous Hardee’s Made From ScratchTM Breakfast Biscuit and Hand-Breaded Chicken TendersTM.
