We’re a successful restaurant and real estate business. Even though we have nearly 350 Hardee’s locations and employ more than 9,000 people, our company thrives from the accomplishments of each individual employee. Boddie-Noell’s growth over more than 56 years is the result of the company culture — a place with opportunities for advancement and where individual careers have the potential to succeed in a supportive, family atmosphere.
Headquartered in Rocky Mount, N.C., Boddie-Noell Enterprises is a successful third-generation family owned business. Today we own and operate more than 345 Hardee’s restaurants across four states (North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina and Kentucky), making us the largest Hardee’s franchise operator in the United States. Boddie-Noell also operates the Highway Diner, a popular 1950s-theme restaurant as well as Rose Hill Conference Center, a beautifully restored historic special-events facility near Nashville, NC, and BNE Land and Development Co.
Boddie-Noell’s humble beginnings go back to 1962 when brothers Mayo and Nick Boddie and their uncle Carleton Noell opened their first Hardee’s restaurant in Fayetteville, NC. Over the next several decades – through hard work and focus – the Boddies continued to open Hardee’s throughout North Carolina, Virginia and beyond. Hardeee’s remains our foundation and our flagship. We have always provided growth opportunities for our people. We are committed to providing great customer service, product quality and creative innovation — we created the famous Hardee’s Made From Scratch Biscuit and Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenders.
