Boddie-Noell Enterprises Inc., headquartered at 1021 Noell Lane, Rocky Mount, NC 27804; phone number: +1 (252) 937-2000, is seeking to fill four (4) Crew Member positions from 10/1/2026 – 12/31/2026. This is for full-time, peakload, temporary employment. Duties include: Take customer orders. At the service counter or via an intercom system, customers place orders, which are entered into a point-of-sale (POS) machine by the Crew Member. While working in this function, Crew members also accept cash and primarily electronic payments, make change as necessary and provide receipts. Prepare food & beverages. Crew Members prepare guest orders from a limited, quick-service menu. Food preparation involves warming, cooking, assembling, and packaging pre-portioned and pre-cooked items delivered to the restaurant. Tasks include heating burgers, sandwiches, biscuits, and breakfast items; frying french fries; assembling sandwiches; and preparing beverages, such as coffee and soft drinks. Crew Members may use standard fast-food equipment such as grills, fryers, warming trays, ovens, beverage dispensers, and food preparation stations. Cooking tasks follow simple, repetitive steps with set cooking times. There is no recipe development and no remotely complex food preparation techniques are employed. Serve customers. Once orders are assembled, a Crew Member will provide it to the customer, whether in the dining area, at the service counter or via the driver-through window. Crew members will spot-check the order’s content for accuracy and offer customer-oriented service to guests to ensure a superior restaurant experience for them. Maintain cleanliness standards. Crew Members maintain cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant, including the kitchen, service counters, dining areas, and restrooms. Cleaning tasks include wiping and sanitizing food preparation surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, washing utensils and trays, emptying trash, restocking supplies, and cleaning equipment. Cleaning tools and materials include mops, brooms, buckets, cleaning cloths, gloves, and approved cleaning and sanitizing solutions. All cleaning and sanitation duties are performed according to established company procedures and food safety standards. Special Requirements: Each applicant (U.S. and H-2B workers alike) must complete the Employer’s standard online employment application as part of the hiring process. The workers will be subject to drug testing upon reasonable suspicion, paid by the employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B. The pay is $15.00per hour with overtime available at $22.50 per hour, based on hourly rate. Overtime is not guaranteed but may be available. The work schedule is as follows: 35 hours a week, work will be performed Monday through Sunday in rotating 8-hour shifts scheduled between 4:00 AM and 11:00 PM. Returning workers may be eligible for a higher wage rate. Job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. The requested temporary workers will be based at 6501 Caratoke Highway, Grandy, NC 27939 and will serve clients within the Currituck County.
Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is weekly. Employers will deduct all legally required amounts from workers’ paychecks. The employer will not offer housing. Additional benefits: Discounted meals for employees. Uniforms (shirts, hats, aprons, name tags provided at no cost) Pants and safety shoes not provided but required.
Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check from HR visa, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period.
If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, HR visa will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work.
Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, HR visa will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer.
The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided by HR visa at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement will be provided by HR VISA in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training in the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor. As of the date of this posting, the three-fourths guarantee is not enforced, but this is subject to change.
