ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (March 26, 2021) – Ten Hardee’s general managers have won the Founders Award, which is the top award given out by the largest Hardee’s franchisee in the country, Boddie-Noell Enterprises. The Founders Award is given annually to the company’s top restaurant general managers.
The individuals and restaurants represent the best among the 342 Hardee’s restaurants operated by the company across four states. The winners were selected on an established set of criteria for operational excellence in 2020. The annual award is given in honor of the company’s three founders, Mayo Boddie, Sr., the late Nicholas Boddie, Jr. and the late W. Carleton Noell, who opened Boddie-Noell’s first Hardee’s in 1962.
As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, no in-person awards ceremony was held this year for the safety of all involved. However, Boddie-Noell is committed to recognizing outstanding employees regardless of the circumstances and regional winners each received a cash prize for their outstanding biscuits in 2020.
The Founders Award winners are: general manager Linda Watkins with the Hardee’s of Madison, N.C., senior general manager Patricia Neill with the Hardee’s in Lincolnton, N.C., general manager Sheena Finney with the Hardee’s on Boydton Plank Road in Petersburg, Va., general manager Kimberley Jennings with the Hardee’s in Claypool Hill, Va., general manager Sametra Vaughn with the Hardee’s in Stanleytown, Va., general manager Pamela Tennant with the Hardee’s in Lexington, N.C., general manager Siriwan Scheffler with the Hardee’s in Surf City, N.C., general manager Linda Salvatore with the Hardee’s in Lexington, Va., general manager Ruth Joseph with the Hardee’s in Cape Charles, Va. and general manager Donna Turner with the Hardee’s on Riverside Dr. in Danville, Va.
